WORDS FROM GOD
Question --- Why didn't Jesus write anything down as a permanent record of his life and teachings?
Answer --- God told him not to write anything down. Most of the people he was speaking to did not know how to read. God wanted his message to be short and to be remembered. God wanted Jesus to be a role model and to demonstrate the message of how to love one another by laying down his life for his friends. God wrote the message on our hearts when we were created in his image and he gave us the ability to have the power of love, the joy of forgiveness, and the peace that comes from a humble heart.
Question --- What then were the words that Jesus said that God wants us to hear and remember each day?
Answer -- After reading the words that Jesus said which were reported in The Bible and The Urantia Book, here is an opinion of what God wanted us to hear and remember:
Seek first the kingdom of God and God's righteousness and all you need will be added.
The kingdom of God is in heaven, on earth, at hand and within you.
Do the will of God my Father and you will enter the kingdom of God.
He who hears my words and believes in the one who sent me shall have eternal life.
Here is eternal life: Know the One True God and Jesus Christ whom the One True God sent.
This is my command: Love one another as I have loved you. There is no greater love than this. Lay down your life for your friends.
Whatsoever you do to one of the least of these, you also do it unto me. Be like Jesus to everyone you meet. See Jesus inside of everyone you meet. We were made in the image of God and God said we are very good. We make errors. We make mistakes. We sin. God loves us and forgives us. All he asks is that we love others, forgive others, and have a humble heart.
